Failure

How do you take failure in your life? Have you ever think why do you fail? Have you ever think how to get up from a failure. Everyone must have failed before in their life. I bet there's no one who is too perfect until he or she never failed even once. I failed too many time. How many of us take failure as a path towards success? How many of us kept ourselves in failure and never try to climb out of this "Great Wall of Failure"?

We can see people complaining and blaming others when they fail. We also can see people who lose hope when they fail. Some of them even don't care when they fail. It's not the matter of failing or success but it is the matter of how we cope with failure. How do we deal with it? Do you want to get up every time you fall? Or you'll just give up because you feel like it's the end of the world? What is important is when you fail, you are willing to struggle harder to do your responsibility to achieve your dreams. Learn from your mistakes and try to correct them. Some know that they are wrong, but they just don't want to change their style.

How many of us dare to fail? Sometimes failing is good if you know how to get up. At least in future when you fail, you know how to deal with it. For those who never failed, maybe it will be something hard to go through once you fail. In this world, you can't give up. Believe that Allah is always with us.

Failure is a lesson from Allah. It has a great meaning behind it. It maybe also as a punishment for your sins towards Allah and also sins among human. I know my failure is because I neglect my responsibility towards Allah and also being sinful for hurting people's feeling. Here , I would like to apologize to everyone who I've hurt before, I seek for your forgiveness. Once again, I hope this lesson will be my last and serve as a great lesson for me.

Youth, where is your spirit?

Assalamualaikum W.B.T.

Bayangkan sekiranya kita tersilap langkah, manakah arah tujuan kita? Apabila kita kehilangan kuasa?

Anak kecil main api
Terbakar hatinya yang sepi
Airmata darah bercampur keringat
Bumi dipijak milik orang

Nenek moyang kaya raya
Tergadai seluruh harta benda
Akibat sengketa sesama kita
Cinta lenyap di arus zaman

Indahnya bumi kita ini
Warisan berkurun lamanya
Hasil mengalir ke tangan yang lain
Pribumi merintis sendiri

Masa depan sungguh kelam
Kan lenyap peristiwa semalam
Tertutup hati terkunci mati
Maruah peribadi dah hilang

Kini kita cuma tinggal kuasa
Yang akan menentukan bangsa
Bersatulah hati bersama berbakti
Pulih kembali harga diri

Kita sudah tiada masa
Majulah dengan maha perkasa
Janganlah terlalai teruskan usaha
Melayu kan gagah di Nusantara
Melayu kan gagah di Nusantara
Melayu kan gagah di Nusantara!

Sekian Wassalamualaikum W.B.T.

The New Hippocratic oath (2010 AD)

  • I promise that my medical knowledge will be used to benefit people’s health. Patients are my first concern. I will listen to them, and provide the best care I can. I will be honest, respectful, and compassionate towards all.
  • I will do my best to help anyone in medical need, in emergencies. I will make every effort to ensure the rights of all patients are respected, including vulnerable groups who lack of making their needs known.
  • I will exercise my professional judgment, uninfluenced by political or religious pressure, or the age, race, sexual orientation, social class, wealth, or celebrity of my patient. I will not put profit or my own career above my duty to patient.
  • I recognize the special value of human life, but I also know that prolonging life is not the only aim of health care. If I agree to perform abortion, I agree it should take place only within an ethical and legal context.
  • I will not provide treatments that are pointless or harmful, or which an informed and competent patient refuses. I will help patients find the information and support they want to make decisions on their care.
  • I will be as truthful as I can, and respect patients’ decisions, unless that puts others at risk of substantial harm. If I cannot agree with teir requests, I will explain why.
  • If my patient has limited mental awareness, I will still encourage him or her to participate in decisions as much as they feel able. I will do my best to maintain confidentiality about all patients.
  • If there are overriding reasons preventing my keeping a patient’s confidentiality I will explain them. I will recognize the limits of my knowledge and seek advice from colleagues as needed.
  • I will do my best to keep my self and my colleagues informed of new developments, and ensure that poor standards or bad practices are exposed to those who can improve them.
  • I will show respect for all those with whom I work and be ready to share my knowledge by teaching others what I know. I will use my training and professional standing to improve the community which I work.
  • I will respect each of my roles, as expert, communicator, scholar, partner, manager, teacher, professional, and health advocate. I will promote fair use of health resources and try to influence positively those whose policies harm public health.
  • I recognise that I have responsibilities to humankind that transcend diktats and orders of States, and which no Legislature can countermand. I will oppose health policies that breach internationally accepted standards of human rights.
  • I will learn from my mistakes and seek help from colleagues to promote patient safety. While keeping within this framework, I will not be discouraged by failure, and will try to continue in a spirit of practical and rational optimism.
  • While I continue to keep this Oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of the Art, respected by all, in all times.

Perjuangan Yang Belum Selesai

Sesungguhnya tidak ada yang lebih menyayatkan
dari melihat bangsaku dijajah
Tidak ada yang lebih menyedihkan
dari membiarkan bangsaku dihina

Air mata tiada ertinya
sejarah silam tiada maknanya
sekiranya bangsa tercinta terpinggir
dipersenda dan dilupakan

Bukan kecil langkah wira bangsa
para pejuang kemerdekaan
bagi menegakkan kemuliaan
dan darjat bangsa
selangkah beerti mara
mengharung sejuta dugaan

Biarkan bertatih
asalkan langkah itu yakin dan cermat
bagi memastikan negara
merdeka dan bangsa terpelihara
air mata sengsara
mengiringi setiap langkah bapa-bapa kita

Tugas kita bukan kecil
kerana mengisi kemrdekaan
rupanya lebih sukar dari bermandi
keringat dan darah menuntutnya

Lagi pula apalah ertinya kemerdekaan
kalau bangsaku asyik mengia dan menidakkan,
mengangguk dan membenarkan,
kerana sekalipun bangganya negara
kerana makmur dan mewahnya,
bangsaku masih melata
dan meminta-minta di negaranya sendiri

Bukan kecil tugas kita
meneruskan perjuangan kemerdekaan kita
kerana rupanya selain memerdekakan,
mengisi kemerdekaan itu jauh lebih sengsara

Bangsaku bukan kecil hati dan jiwanya
bukankah sejak zaman berzaman
mereka menjadi pelaut, pengembara
malah penakluk terkemuka?
Bukankah mereka sudah mengembangkan sayap,
menjadi pedagang dan peniaga

selain menjadi ulama dan
ilmuan terbilang?
Bukankah bangsaku pernah mengharung
samudera menjajah dunia yang tak dikenal
Bukankah mereka pernah menjadi
wira serantau yang tidak mengenal
erti takut dan kematian?
Di manakah silapnya hingga bangsaku
berasa begitu kecil dan rendah diri?
Apakah angkara penjajah?
Lalu bangsaku mulai
melupakan kegemilangan silam
dan sejarah gemilang membina empayar

Tugas kita belum selesai rupanya
bagi memartabat dan
memuliakan bangsa
kerana hanya bangsa yang berjaya
akan sentiasa dihormati

Rupanya masih jauh dan berliku jalan kita
bukan sekadar memerdeka dan mengisinya
tetapi mengangkat darjat dan kemuliaan
buat selama-lamanya

Hari ini, jalan ini pasti semakin berliku
kerana masa depan belum tentu
menjanjikan syurga
bagi mereka yang lemah dan mudah kecewa

Perjuangan kita belum selesai
kerana hanya yang cekal dan tabah
dapat membina mercu tanda
bangsanya yang berjaya

Happy Father's Day

I would like to wish both my father Wan Ilias Wan Hassan & Seruji Nawawi a Happy Fathers' Day
Thanks for everything and  check out what I wrote for you.

Papa, you’re like the sun to me,
a sure thing, always there,
beaming light and warmth on my life.
Whatever is good in me today,
I owe to your wisdom, your patience,
your strength, your love.
You taught me by example,
as a role model,
how to be my own person,
how to believe in myself,
instructing me without controlling me.
Even when we disagreed,
you held us together,
so our bond was never broken.
I understand what you did for me,
and I am so grateful that I have you
as my solid foundation, my rock.
I respect you, I admire you, I love you,
my guiding light, my father.

Ke Pulau Impian

Assalamualaikum WBT,

Strongly Condemn Israel attacks towards the flotilla (Mavi Marmara)

Alhamdulillah, All Praise be to Allah, by whose Grace and Blessings we still can live our life in this world and enjoy Allah's creation. We live to be grateful to Him and to go through all His test with patience.

I would like to convey my sadness and anger towards Israel for attacking innocent civilian in Mavi Marmara. They are peace makers who wants to help people in need. I strongly disagree with Israel who stated that those people on board are equipped with sharp weapons and they attacked the Israeli commandos. Who in the world would be that out of mind to attack commandos with only sharp weapons and what sharp weapons do they have actually? The Muslim world should be awaken from their dreams. We are strong if we unite. We can easily out number the Israeli Zionist. However if we aren't united these numbers will be useless and will always be only numbers. We should stop fighting between ourselves. We should know who is our real rivals. Who are the ones who really want to see us lose? Who are the ones who want to see us broken in pieces? They enjoy looking at our failure and fighting with each others. We should be united. We should at least put aside the difference between us, we may be different in a lot of things such as ideology, politics and etc but we are still Muslim. We believe in Allah. The Islamic world is really big. It's just how we can  handle and how we can plan for our success.

Maybe we should recall what Tun Dr. Mahathir had said before :

It is surety time that we pause to think. But will this be wasting time? For well over half a century we have fought over Palestine. What have we achieved? Nothing. We are worse off than before. If we had paused to think then we could have devised a plan, a strategy that can win us final victory. Pausing and thinking calmly is not a waste of time. We have a need to make a strategic retreat and to calmly assess our situation.
We are actually very strong. 1.3 billion people cannot be simply wiped out. The Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million. But today the Jews rule this world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them.
We may not be able to do that. We may not be able to unite all the 1.3 billion Muslims. We may not be able to get all the Muslim Governments to act in concert. But even if we can get a third of the ummah and a third of the Muslim states to act together, we can already do something. Remember that the Prophet did not have many followers when he went to Madinah. But he united the Ansars and the Muhajirins and eventually he became strong enough to defend Islam.

Last but not least I would like to once again emphasize my stand on this issue which is to strongly condemn Israel attacks towards flotilla and I fully support the Government of Malaysia   which stated their stand on how strongly they condemn the Israeli acts towards the flotilla and how they call upon the world to condemn the act and how the Prime Minister suggested that Security Council of PBB to discuss this matter as soon as possible.

This maybe my personal thoughts but I am sure the others will think the same too. Lets pray that Allah will always be with them. I urge all of the Muslim in the world to perform Solat Hajat and Qunut Nazillah. May Allah always be with them.

"They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom." Surah Al-Hasyr Verse 14

Happy Mothers' Day

Dedicated to both Mami: from Left: Nur Zayanah Abdullah & Norzehan Abdullah
Thanks for everything, I love you. You are my everything.

Mom, without you, there would be no me.
Your love, your attention, your guidance,
have made me who I am.
Without you, I would be lost,
wandering aimlessly,
without direction or purpose.
You showed me the way
to serve, to accomplish, to persevere.
Without you, there would be an empty space
I could never fill, no matter how I tried.
Instead, because of you,
I have joy, contentment, satisfaction and peace.
Thank you, mom.
I have always loved you
and I always will.

Three years ago....

My winter holidays will end very soon. I am going back to Egypt this Saturday. I am going to miss everything here. I had a nice Chinese New Year holidays with my family. I'll really miss them.

My posting today is about three years ago.  Viewing my files in my disk I found lots of pictures. I found this folder containing pictures in Labuan Matriculation College. I was there for about 3 months. It was fun and I learnt lots of things there. I got to know a lot of people with different personality. I won't forget that place because it taught me some great lessons of life.

This was my lecture hall. A lot bigger than the one in Egypt

With Ira on my last day in KML. It was on Friday, I took the night flight to go back to KK

This is a special one. I bought this Calvin Klein Crave perfume in Labuan. I still have it till now. This is the latest picture of it. I didn't bring it to Cairo. So it last till now. I only use it during holidays. Seldom use it because it has been discontinued. At least, I still have something from Labuan which I keep till now.

I don't even know why do I post this. Time flies really fast. 3 years ago is just like 3 seconds ago. I wish everyone good luck in their life. Keep in touch my KML friends: Siti Nur Hidayah (Aremoy), Pamela Daine, Ira, Siti Nurasyikin (Ckin),  Amirah, Reens, Elfira, Joanda, Arory, AKMAL and the others. One Day in Your Life

One day in your life
you'll remember a place
Someone's touching your face
You'll come back and you'll look around you

One day in your life
You'll remember the love you found here
You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always waiting
For the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there

You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always longing
for the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there
